Announcing Five New Automation Courses
Broadcom Education Continues to Expand Workload Automation Intelligence Course
Offerings with AAI Integrations Series

Written by: Shashi Ramesh
Looking to streamline your workload automation by taking advantage of powerful predictive analytics? Wondering how to integrate your scheduling solutions with Broadcom’s Automation Intelligence (AAI) solution but not sure where to start?
We understand the importance of seamless integration, and that's why we are offering free Web-based automation courses to ensure that you can make the most of the AAI capabilities. Whether you are using IBM, Control-M, Tidal or any other scheduler, our courses will help you integrate with AAI and gain true end-to-end automated business process insight.
AAI provides SLA management and predictive analytics for the various scheduling solutions it supports. AAI supports multiple distributed and mainframe schedulers out of the box, but also provides tools to build the custom integrations.
All major schedulers available in the market today integrate with AAI, providing far more complete and powerful automation observability to IT operations. These integrations, however, have different requirements, installation, and implementation procedures, and rely on different technologies.
Our Education team will equip you with the tools you need to achieve your objectives, and is fully committed to assisting you in every possible way. We encourage you to explore these new automation courses by enrolling today!
AAI Integrations: Automic Automation and Control-M
This course explains AAI's connector framework for distributed environments, namely, Automic Automation and Control-M. Both integrations are similar except for the way in which AAI acquires the scheduler data. The video in the Automic Automation lesson describes the connector framework in detail and provides an exhaustive demo. Therefore, it is essential that you watch the video in the Automic Automation lesson also if you are interested in the Control-M integration only.
The connector acquires event and definition data from Automic Automation/Control-M, transforms it, and sends it to the AAI server. AAI consumes this data to build jobstreams, perform calculations, predict outcomes, populate charts, generate reports, and so forth.
This automation course provides an overview that applies to both and explains the respective connector. Finally, it explains the TLS framework and how to secure elements involved in the integration.
AAI Integrations: AutoSys
In the case of AutoSys, the integration is coded directly into the AAI server. This means that there is no need to install and configure any additional component. As soon as AAI is installed and configured - and after you define an AutoSys scheduler - AAI starts sourcing data immediately.
This course provides an overview of the AAI integrations and focuses specifically on AutoSys. It addresses administrator users in charge of implementing the AAI/AutoSys integration.
AAI Integrations: ESP
This course addresses administrators in charge of setting up and maintaining the AAI integration with ESP. It explains its technical infrastructure and how to configure AAI to enable the integration.
AAI Integrations: Tidal
This course explains and demonstrates how to establish the connection between AAI and Tidal, which happens through the Tidal connector. The connector acquires event and definition data from Tidal, transforms it, and sends it to the AAI server. AAI consumes this data to build jobstreams, perform calculations, predict outcomes, populate charts, and generate reports.
AAI provides a native connector for Tidal. This means that no separate connector is required to integrate both solutions. However, there are some prerequisites that must be met and steps to be completed for the integration to work.
AAI Integrations: IWSd
This course explains and demonstrates how to install, configure and secure the AAI/IWSd integration. Unlike other AAI integrations, the IWSd connector is not based on the AAI connector framework, but on a custom Apache Tomcat web server where the webapp is the actual connector. The connector acquires event and definition data from IWSd, transforms it, and sends it to the AAI server. AAI consumes this data to build jobstreams, perform calculations, predict outcomes, populate charts, and generate reports.
