As the Product Manager for Rally®, I've had the privilege of working closely with our customers, listening to their needs, and understanding the unique challenges they face in today's rapidly evolving digital landscape. The launch of Rally Anywhere, the on-premises version of our enterprise agility platform, marks a significant milestone in our journey—a journey that has been shaped by the voices of the very customers we serve.

Over the past few years, we've witnessed an increasing number of organizations making the shift to cloud-based solutions. The benefits of SaaS are undeniable: ease of deployment, scalability, and reduced maintenance overhead, to name a few. However, as we engaged with our global customer base, it became evident that there was a growing gap in the market—one that cloud solutions alone couldn't fill.

For some of our customers, the cloud simply isn't an option. Whether due to stringent data sovereignty laws, heightened security concerns, or specific organizational policies, these enterprises have found themselves at a crossroads. They need powerful, enterprise-grade tools to drive their agile transformations, but their existing agile tooling providers have moved exclusively to the cloud, leaving them without a viable solution.

The decision to develop an on-premises version of Rally wasn't made lightly. They need to ensure that their data remains within their physical borders and is protected under their own security protocols.
