Here are some of the ways that you might find Custom Views useful:
- If you are a release train engineer (RTE) or scrum master, a Data Integrity dashboard is available that helps you ensure the data being reported is accurate and aligned with your train or team objectives.
- If you are an RTE, you can access a program board to help with PI Planning check-ins and readouts.
- Use a Milestone Tracking Custom View to track the progress of a Milestone in one view.
- A Quality Custom View is available for tracking the defect fixes and test results for a Release.
- A pre-PI Planning View can help product managers prepare for the next release by showing existing at-risk features as well as candidate features for the following release.
1. Flexible layouts for maximum impact
Tired of being stuck with one or two-column layouts? Custom Views break free of this limitation, offering sections. You can choose different layouts for each section, from full-width to quarters, maximizing your space and creating a visually appealing experience.
In the following example, anyone in the train can monitor the progress of our release against the goal of delivering 90% of prioritized PI Committed Content.
2. Lightning-fast performance
Built on a modern, integrated technology stack, Custom Views deliver significantly improved performance compared to custom pages. Experience faster loading times and smoother data visualization, even with complex data sets.
3. Clarify content with context
Each section in your Custom View can be enhanced with an optional title and rich text description. If you’re using a View Timebox Filter, attributes from the selected View Filter variable can be embedded into the description text or queries so that they update dynamically with different View Filter selections (see ViewFilter Substitution documentation for more details). These features provide clear context, explaining the data, process, or actions to take within that section. Need to save space? Simply collapse the section.

4. Super configurable and fully supported widgets
Custom Views leverage powerful, fully supported widgets with enhanced customization options. Choose multiple artifact types, select different timeboxes, and leverage powerful query boxes for granular data filtering.

The Query Tile and Pie Chart widgets in Custom Views offer drill-down functionality, allowing you to explore specific data points without cluttering your overall view. This keeps your dashboard clean and readable, while providing access to deeper insights when you need them.
6. Centralized administration for easy management
Custom Views are accessible through a dedicated list under the Reports menu, making them easy to find. Filter views by shared or private access, see project sharing details, and leverage a search box to quickly find the information you need.
