    About the Author

Jörg Mertin, a Master Solution Engineer on the AIOps and Observability team, is a self-learner and technology enthusiast. A testament to this is his early adopter work to learn and evangelize Linux in the early 1990s. Whether addressing coordinating monitoring approaches for full-fledged cloud deployments or a specific situation involving simple IoT devices, he digs into details to help customers deploy monitoring solutions successfully in complex environments. While he’s focused on application performance management, he brings broad experience that spans automation, network and security. Jörg has worked with monitoring products since 2006 –initially with PSINet Europe (ISP), then Symantec (pre-acquisition) and also with Wily Technologies.
