Feature highlights
Data Insights
Two new Data Insights empower monitoring teams and lines of business with unparalleled visibility and actionable insights into business and operational performance. Here’s more information on each:
- Business Area Monthly Performance: This color-coded heat map reveals SLA successes and failures over the past year. Users can drill down from business areas to specific jobstreams, so they can efficiently pinpoint and address bottlenecks.
- Jobstream Runs: This detailed report offers execution states, SLA compliance, and alert statuses within a specified date range. Ideal for monitoring and reporting, it ensures operators, administrators, and business owners can access all critical data in one place.
GenAI Filter Assistant
Harness the power of AI to refine your data searches effortlessly. The new GenAI Filter Assistant allows users to create complex filter queries using natural language. For example: "Show all jobstreams with over 100 runs in the last two days that failed without alerts." This feature streamlines query building and ensures precise data extraction.
Default System Dashboard
Simplifying navigation and data visibility, AAI v24.0 introduces a pre-defined System Dashboard designed for new and seasoned users. The dashboard features two intuitive tabs:
- Business Overview: This tab features a Business Area Monthly Performance widget that provides a year-long heat map of jobstream performance. Users can quickly identify success trends and problem zones.
- System Overview: Incorporates widgets displaying insights into Job Status, Completion Status, Processing Load, and Trending Jobs. It provides a comprehensive automation snapshot, enabling effortless navigation through the underlying data.
This dashboard ensures users can derive actionable insights instantly, without any prior setup, making it a cornerstone of AAI's usability.
Beyond the headline features
Enhanced report customization
Users can now produce customized PDF outputs of data insights by uploading a JXML file. Additionally, the renamed Report Settings tab streamlines the report generation process.
Support for Automic Automation SYNC objects
With this release, Automic Automation SYNC objects are now fully supported, ensuring better dependency management. The Gantt chart now visually represents SYNC object wait times, providing deeper insights into resource wait time dependencies.
Web service for AAI Configuration Tool
AAI configuration is simplified by introducing a browser-based web service for the Configuration Tool. By eliminating the need for SSH or X11 on Linux systems, this enhancement makes system management more accessible and user friendly.
In-product custom help content
Organizations can tailor their AAI help content through Broadcom's Integrated Content Experience (ICE) tool. With this tool, teams can embed organizational-specific guidance, link to additional resources, and even replace default help content, providing users with a tailored support experience.
Enhancements for users
AAI v24.0 offers multiple updates to improve user experience:
- Alerts integration: Alerts are now visible across jobstream run details, from Gantt charts to list views.
- Enhanced job run statistics: New graphs for average runs and job trends improve data visibility.
- Job dependency visualization: Users can now view hierarchical job relationships, including detailed job type and parentage data, and leverage export functionality to do further analysis.
- Improved Gantt views: The reorganized toolbar, machine usage graphs, and additional scheduling dependencies provide a more intuitive visualization experience.
Why upgrade to AAI v24.0?
With its browser-based architecture, innovative features, and usability improvements, AAI v24.0 delivers a robust solution for modern automation needs. With features that range from enhanced dashboards to advanced data insights, this release ensures teams have the tools they need to operate at peak efficiency.
