  • See how you can easily orchestrate your container workloads and monitor your entire data pipeline.
  • Gain centralized information and tools you need to find and fix problems faster.

There’s no doubt the world of IT continues to evolve at an increasingly rapid pace. Our goal with AutoSys is to ensure you have the powerful, intelligent automation you need—not just to keep up, but to lead the way. We are incredibly excited to introduce AutoSys 24.1, a release that is a direct result of customer feedback and our commitment to addressing the real-world challenges you face every day.

This release is packed with new capabilities and enhancements designed to streamline your daily tasks, accelerate troubleshooting, and simplify how you integrate with the latest technologies. Let’s dive into what this means for you.

Easily orchestrate and manage your container workloads

As your organization adopts containers, you need a straightforward way to include these modern applications in your enterprise workflows. AutoSys 24.1 makes this simple.

You can now deploy an AutoSys agent directly into Kubernetes or OpenShift clusters, using a standard, secure HTTPS-based process. We provide the steps to build a container image for the agent, which means you no longer need to provision and maintain a separate virtual machine just to run jobs in your cluster. This drastically reduces setup time and complexity, freeing your teams to focus on innovation.

We've also expanded workload support, adding the ability to manage a wider variety of applications, including scaling StatefulSets and running jobs against Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs), without needing custom scripts. Furthermore, you can now gain more precise control by executing commands within a specific container in a multi-container pod, simplifying targeted actions and troubleshooting.  Containerized agents are ideal to launch your cloud service jobs from; this reduces the need for application teams to have to own and maintain agents.

Connect and command your entire data ecosystem

We know that modern data pipelines are complex, often spanning multiple cloud services. AutoSys 24.1 breaks down these automation silos by adding a suite of new job types for the cloud data and storage services you use every day. You can now integrate, schedule, and monitor your entire data pipeline from a single point of control. AutoSys 24.1 features these capabilities:

  • Unify disparate workflows. Bring your Amazon Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow (MWAA), Google Cloud Composer, and Azure Data Factory pipelines under the same powerful enterprise orchestration as your other critical applications. This ensures dependencies are met across your entire process landscape.
  • Automate data movement. Use file and object events in Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, and IBM Cloud Object Storage as triggers for your workflows. This enables you to build complex, event-driven processes that span on-premises environments and the cloud.
  • Integrate serverless logic. Directly trigger and manage both Azure Functions and AWS Lambda as a seamless step in any enterprise workflow.

Here’s a key point to remember: These new job types and updated cloud integrations for AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and IBM are available via the marketplace and can be used by all customers on any supported version (AutoSys 12.1 SP1 or higher).

Troubleshoot and control jobs faster than ever before

We have completely redesigned the “monitor” experience to give you the information and tools you need in one place, with fewer clicks. The goal is simple: To help you find and fix problems faster.

You’ll find a true single pane of glass. You can see job status, dependencies, and outputs, without navigating through multiple screens. We've also embedded powerful new diagnostic tools directly in the UI. A new “find” utility lets you instantly search log files without ever leaving the interface. Even better, a new “diff” capability allows you to compare a failed job run against a previous successful one. This command instantly highlights what’s changed—whether it was a command, an argument, or a user setting. This eliminates guesswork and gets you to the root cause in seconds, not hours.

Simplified and more secure access for you and your jobs

Connecting to AutoSys and building secure integrations is now much more straightforward.

With expanded SAML 2.0 support for the web UI, you can now log in using your standard corporate credentials via single sign-on (SSO). That means you also get MFA when your iDP provider is configured for it. For those who build automation scripts or integrate with tools like an API gateway, we've also extended SAML 2.0 support to the REST API. This allows your scripts and programs to authenticate using modern, secure tokens instead of relying on static, hardcoded credentials. As a result, your automation is both more secure and easier to manage.
