What’s New with DX Unified Infrastructure Management 20.4

DX Unified Infrastructure Management (DX UIM) enables comprehensive infrastructure observability. The solution delivers comprehensive coverage, modern administrative and operator consoles, zero-touch configuration, advanced alarm management, and more. This solution provides a unified, data-driven approach to infrastructure management. With the solution, your teams can proactively and efficiently manage all your digital ecosystems, including private and public clouds.
The new version of DX UIM offers a number of significant enhancements:
Major Usability Enhancements
The new release offers enhanced access control, zero-touch onboarding, inventory management, personalization, dashboards, and reporting. In addition, the solution’s alarm console now features compliance with 508 and VPAT 2.0 standards.

This release offers role-based console personalization, enabling efficient adaptation to the different personas who use the tool. With more than 140 probes, DX UIM can efficiently collect data from across your technology stack. This new release focuses on optimizing the aggregation and presentation of data, enabling IT specialists to triage performance issues faster.
Reintroduction of Performance Report Designer
The latest release enables teams to do faster, full-stack triage. The solution now offers capabilities for custom, on-the-fly report creation and report scheduling. In addition, the solution offers data export and import capabilities, so you can share charts and scheduling setup with other users and across releases.

DevSecOps Enhancements
DX UIM 20.4 has been developed using secure development strategies and tactics. These strategies and tactics include static application security testing, dynamic application security testing, third-party vulnerability testing, manual methods, and more. Internal DevOps systems were even upgraded to enterprise-grade secure toolsets. All the improvements make this release the most secure DX UIM ever.
Enterprise-grade Enhancements
The latest release features comprehensive defect fixes, stability enhancements, and performance improvements across all layers of deployment.

This release improves the inherent resiliency of the loosely coupled and highly scalable DX UIM architecture. These enhancements help mitigate failures and ensure minimal impact on availability and performance of the application infrastructure.
Expansion of Public Cloud Coverage
In addition to coverage of AWS and Azure, DX UIM now offers coverage for the Google Cloud Platform. The solution offers a template-based approach to monitoring key services, such as computing engines, Kubernetes, storage, VPC networks, interconnects, and file stores. The solution also offers customizable, out-of-the-box summary dashboards.

This latest release embraces DevOps and SRE practices, leveraging the fault-tolerant and agile attributes offered by cloud-native architectures.

Support for Modern Operating System Platforms
The solution offers coverage of a range of modern operation systems, regardless of whether they’re on premises or virtual. The latest release offers updated monitoring target certifications and stricter security standards. DX UIM facilitates the adoption of the latest technologies in hybrid data centers, now and as they continue to evolve to support digital transformation initiatives. This release supports the Percona database as a data store, helping businesses further reduce total cost of ownership.

Richer Integration with DX Operational Intelligence
Through this enhanced integration, DX UIM now offers more advanced capabilities for machine learning and AI. These capabilities enable improved root cause analysis, alarm noise reduction, predictive capacity analytics, and business service analytics.

The Solution Delivers Intelligent Infrastructure Observability
Through its integration with DX Operational intelligence, DX UIM offers richer service topology for monitored inventories. This integration provides more robust and scalable ingestion of alarms, metrics, attributes, logs, and topology data, powering AI and machine learning-driven observability.
